I would know. I needed help managing my disabilities so I turned to training my own service dog. My life absolutely changed when I got the help I needed. I want to help others experience the same life changing accommodations.
Service dog training
When we work together to train your very own service dog, we start with a consultation where I gather information about you and your dog. We will talk about the type of needs you have for your disability and whether or not a service dog can help. I will also do an evaluation to ensure that your dog is right for service work. Not all dogs are! From there we will work in three stages: The basics, tasking, and public access.

In person training
If you are a hands on kind of person, meet face to face with a certified dog trainer to learn how to improve the communication between you and your dog! We will work together to help you reach any goals you have for your dog!
When you book in person training with me, we will start with a free consultation. In this consultation I will ask some questions to get a better understanding of your current relationship with your dog. Then we will talk about your needs and how we plan to move forward with training. Then we will schedule recurring appointments on a schedule that works best for your needs!

Virtual training
If you sign up for virtual training with me, we will first have a free consultation. In this consultation, we will discuss your training goals, and come up with a detailed training plan to help you achieve them. After the consultation, we will meet regularly through zoom. I will give you instruction on how to teach your dog, then I will watch you practice on camera. I will give you pointers and even demonstrate on camera with my own dogs. We will use the training plan we created like a road map to make sure we are staying on track and meeting your goals.
Training your dog virtually can be done! It can be just as effective as in person training if done properly.

Board and trains
Consultation: Board and train clients will meet with me to discuss training goals and the dog’s current level of training (and don’t worry, it’s not a test! Just for me to get an understanding of where your dog is at.) We will then create a training plan and determine how long your dog will stay with me.
Drop off day: After the initial consultation we will plan a drop off day. This day, you will bring your dog to my home and help them settle in. We will go back over the training plan, and talk about what your dog’s days will look like with me.
During their stay: Throughout your dog’s stay I will take pictures and videos of the work we do and send you regular updates about your dog’s progress.
pick up day!! This day will be fun! First, we will let your dog get all their wiggles out when they get to see you! Then, I will demonstrate the skills your dog has learned during their stay. We will spend some time talking about how to maintain the training done, and how to help them settle back in at home.
What next? Once the dog is home we will meet for free virtually once a week for 1-3 weeks depending on how long your dog stayed with me. Every board and train alumni will get sent home with access to step by step videos to help you keep your dog’s behavior looking good! You will also get discounted virtual training sessions after the ones included in the board and train have been completed, and unlimited questions via text!
Sometimes you just need a little extra help. I can give you a jumpstart on your dog’s training by keeping your dog in my home for a period of time and teaching your dog what it needs to know!
